This review is going to be different than a normal review. I ordered two of these filters, however, they arrived damaged. The frames were bent and twisted making them unusable. So, I chatted with a representative, Jonny C. I also emailed pics to the company. The Five stars are for the amazing customer service offered by Discount Filters. I was given various options and chose to get a refund for fear of having the same thing happen. The situation was rectified quickly. I certainly don’t fault the company for the damage that was done. I will continue to be a customer of Discount Filters and order the regular filters. We ordered the Electrostatic Filters for our prior house and they were great all around. After about. 8 years of using them, we had a company to come clean our ducts. We were told that the ducts were “super clean” which had to do with the filters and regularly maintaining them.

I love this filter! We live in a dusty area (High Desert) and the disposable filters are reasonable enough until you begin having to change them every two to three weeks. I've had permanent filters in the past and they didn't have the strong metal frame around them, so they didn't last long before shedding and getting all stretched out. This filter stays in it's shape because of the great frame it is in. Highly recommend this one*******One suggestion: The instructions say it doesn't matter which way you put the filter in, but when you wash it, it says to wash filter in the airflow direction. The filter is not marked so before I installed it the first time I used a sharpie and drew arrows to indicate the airflow direction. Simple and easy to clean that way.........

We have used permanent washable filters for ten years or more. They are more efficient and cost effective than paper filters and do a better job, especially with someone with allergies.
