On the way to your refrigerator, you tap water is susceptible to contamination from a variety of undesirable substances. The 4396510 filter, or CLCH100 fridge filter removes foreign impurities using a proven filtration process.  As water enters the filter, it is pushed through an inner chamber. This inner chamber is filled with carbon that attracts and captures the impurities.  As water leaves the filter, crystal clear, healthy water is produced.

To ensure that you have access to better-tasting water, make sure to routinely change your refrigerator filter. As a filter undergoes extended use, the carbon in the filter will begin to degrade. This can lead to a decrease in water quality as well as an increased susceptibility to future health and maintenance concerns.  Prevent these issues by making routine filter changes every six months. How To Install The ClearChoice CLCH100 Filter:

The water filter cartridge is located in the grille at the bottom of the the refrigerator. The filter cartridge should be replaced when the replacement indicator light turns red or if the flow of water to the dispenser or icemaker decreases. For refrigerators without an indicator light, replace the filters every 6 months.

  1. Turn off icemaker
  2. Remove old filter by rotating cap about 1/4 turn clockwise
  3. Pull the old filter cartridge out
  4. Remove the cartridge grille cap by sliding it off the end of the old cartridge
  5. Slide the catridge grille cap onto the new cartridge
  6. With the new cartridge cap in the vertical position, insert the new filter catridge into the base grille
  7. Rotate the cap clockwise to a horizontal position
  8. Flush three gallons of water through the filter cartridge before use
  9. Turn on the icemaker
