Honeywell replacement media uses synthetic material to trap contaminants found in indoor air. Its pleated design includes an enlarged surface space that captures pet dander, pollen, mold, bacteria and dust. Additionally, the media traps cooking, smoke, paint, pet and bathroom odors. With a MERV 11 rating, it traps up to 85 percent of particulates as small as 3 microns. While maximizing airflow, the media increases the efficiency and performance of your system. Change the filter at least once every six months, and provide a healthier and cleaner indoor environment for your family.

The company that installed my current heating and air conditioning system charges a HUGE premium when replacing my filter bec. it's a size your can't pick up at your local store. Since finding Discount filters.com I have saved a bundle by replacing it myself. In addition, the price here beat every other site I could find. I like that it came in a package of two so when I need to replace the first one I have some leeway in time to order more.

When a new refrigerator filter is installed, there may be some sputtering and spitting of water while air is forced out of the filter media. This is normal and will stop after the carbon media becomes saturated with water.
