If anybody is having issues trying to find a filter that will fit an older Galaxy refrigerator made by whirlpool. This one will fit perfect. They have changed the design of the old filter and some might think it will not fit, but I will have to tell you it does. Around 2 gallons of water through the filter just to put out anything and the water comes through crystal clear and taste fine. I will attach a picture of the old filter and the filter of what I purchased just to show you. Also, just let everybody know this filter goes by multiple older part numbers and can definitely be confusing if you’re looking for one exact part number because there are multiple part numbers attached to this one. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to customer service. They will get you the exact filter you need like I did.

This review isn't really for the actual filters themselves as much as it is for the company specifically. I had an approximately 11-12 year old refrigerator. We replaced the filters as consistently as we could, accounting for procrastination and the fact that refrigerator filters are ridiculously expensive. We began having trouble with our ice maker and were reminded that the indicator had been telling us that we needed to replace the filter for several months and we had been ignoring it. So, I ordered new filters from Discount Filters, hoping that this would resolve our problem with the ice maker. This was not to be. Right after the filters were ordered, the freezer and refrigerator stopped freezing and cooling (we lost SO MUCH food). We had a repair man come and give us the grim news that the compressor had gone out and it would cost almost as much to fix as it would to buy a new fridge. Just about the time that the new fridge was being delivered, the filters for the old one
