There’s a reason why the phrase “home sweet home” is so beloved and often used. Your home really should and can be a sweet place of relaxation and happy times. One way to make your home even sweeter is by freshening up the indoor air, and that’s where filtration comes into play. Here’s what you need to know about indoor air filtration and about 20 x 25 x 4 filters in particular.

The following are MERV levels of quality furnace filters.
The MERV8 (DUST) type filter removes a variety of allergens from the air. Although not as powerful as our high-end HVAC filters, it is certainly more effective than the cheapest filters. It removes pollen, household dust, and pet dander from indoor air.
The MERV11 (ALLERGY) type filter functions at a higher level than the MERV8 filter, in that it filters more from the indoor air. That includes pollen, dust, pet dander, mold spores, car fumes, and smog.
The MERV13 (HEALTH) type filter performs at an even more higher level than the MERV8 and MERV11 type filters. So that means it filters out a greater number of allergens from indoor air as compared to the other filters. What it filters out includes pollen, pet dander, dust, dust mites, bacteria, viruses, mold spores, smoke such as tobacco smoke, smog, car fumes, and more.
We have numerous other choices available in 20 x 25 x 4 filters, including those in the Odor, Dust, Allergy and Health MERV categories. Each one provides a particular level of air filtration and functionality.
The 20 x 25 x 4 filter is quick and easy to install. Here’s how to do that:
Before getting started with changing the air filter, turn off the power that is going to your furnace. Remove the old air filter from the HVAC system, and throw away that filter. When placing your new air filter into the grille, make sure the arrow on the side of the filter is pointing toward the furnace. Turn the power and furnace back on, and verify that everything is working correctly.
Air Quality and Climate Change
There are numerous ways that air quality and climate change can impact one another. For example, as a result of climate change and atmospheric warming, ground-level ozone can increase. This can pose problems with ozone standard compliance. Researchers are constantly studying the impact of climate change on air quality, such as the effect on air pollution and particulate levels.
You might not have a lot of control over climate change and what is happening in the global environment, but the good news is that you do have some control over your own indoor environment. A wise step to take is to use our discount furnace filters, which not only are available in various 20 x 25 x 4 types but also in a wide array of other sizes and types too.
