Water is important – I think everyone knows that. But drinking plenty of water is probably more important than you realize. Do you know the symptoms of dehydration? Even mild dehydration can affect your health and your ability to focus. The symptoms of severe hydration are even more concerning. It’s important to make sure you’re getting enough to drink. Here are a few health benefits of drinking plenty of water.
What Can Water do for Me?

Drinking plenty of water all day helps you feeling full so you’re less likely to snack. It also aids in digestion and helps to boost your metabolism.

How Much is Enough?
All my life, I heard that I needed to drink 8 by 8 – that is, eight 8-ounce glasses of water – every day. That’s a great start, but 8 x 8, or 64 ounces, isn’t quite enough. Men should drink about three liters, or 13 cups of water, a day; women should drink 2.2 liters, or nine cups of water. There are other ways to determine proper water consumption, as well.
