PureSource2 / WF2CB Fridge Water Filter Installation

One of the greatest conveniences in your kitchen includes a refrigerator with a water filter. The PureSource2 water filter supplies you and your family with clear, clean and refreshing water and ice through the water dispenser from your fridge. You don’t have to rely on expensive bottles of water and the recycling that comes with it, or the outdated filter pitcher, which takes several minutes to filter a small amount of water at a time. The PureSource2 fridge filter fits in a large variety of makes and models of refrigerators to give your family clean water and ice without impurities that can harm your family.

Activated Carbon & How It Works

The PureSource2 also known as the Frigidaire WF2CB refrigerator filter has been scientifically designed to remove all unwanted particles from your water to supply you and your family with crystal clear and clean water. The innovative filtration device is activated carbon. This is a form of charcoal that is extremely porous, so that it attracts even the tiniest particles to remove them from your water. The innermost chamber of this water filter is comprised of activated carbon.

The process begins when your household water supply line enters the rear of your refrigerator and into the rear of the water filter. The water travels through activated carbon to clean it and then travels through the water lines to your ice maker and your water dispenser. This high-tech process removes all substances that can make your water and ice discolored, have a bad taste or have an odor. It removes particles such as cysts, chlorine, lead, asbestos, mold and bacteria for the best tasting water available.

Puresource2 /  WF2CB Filter Replacement

The PureSource2 water filter does an excellent job of purifying your water supply. However, after about six months, the carbon starts to break down and doesn’t function as well as when it was new. All refrigerator manufacturers recommend replacing your water filter about twice a year to have clear, refreshing water and ice cubes all year round. The convenience of a refrigerator water filter and having healthy and clean water and ice for your family is an amenity that all will appreciate.

Quotation Marks LogoI used to buy my filters at the near by store but they stopped carrying them. They are cheaper on this site, they arrived quickly and are the exact brand that I need.

Discount Filters carries two brands of the Puresource2 / WF2CB refrigerator water filter. The Frigidaire WF2CB is the name brand filter which costs more but is NSF certified to reduce pollutants in your water. The EcoAqua EFF-6029A is less expensive and performs the same however it’s not certified. We highly recommend the EcoAqua Eff-6029A version for it’s affordability and comparisons to the name brand Frigidaire WF2CB.
