Installation
Installing your new WF-294 discount filter is simple. There are a few easy steps to follow, and fresh water is moments away. Always remember that you must flush your filter before using it! Allow about two gallons of water to pass through the filter before use.
To install, first, locate the filter release. Your filter may be a push or a pull release, depending on the model of your refrigerator. Look at your refrigerator (often in the upper right corner) to determine which release you have.
For push releases, follow these steps:
- Push the tab inward. This will cause the latch to release.
- Turn the current filter counterclockwise about one quarter.
- Remove the current filter and replace it with your new one.
- Turn the new filter clockwise until it is in place.
- Close the latch.
For pull releases, follow these steps:
- Open the cover, which will be found with a recessed tab, and pull until the latch releases.
- Turn the current filter counterclockwise about one quarter.
- Remove the current filter and replace it with your new one.

- Close the latch and cover.
Regular Maintenance
