Filter Process
Because the FMS-2 filter uses a filtration process that has been scientifically engineered, you get water that is free from such contaminants as mold, bacteria, asbestos, lead, cysts, and chlorine. To do this, it uses something called activated carbon. This type of carbon has had its surface area increased by making it more porous. This makes it adsorbent, which means that any contaminants will stick to its surface. This is opposed to being absorbent where the contaminants would be sucked inside the carbon.
The process of filtration for the FMS-2 starts as soon as the water from your fridge goes into the filter chamber. As the chamber fills with water, it gets pushed into another chamber with the activated carbon. This is where the magic happens and the water becomes clean. How to Install the Filter
The FMS-2 discount filter is simple to install. At the top right corner of your fridge, you will either have a push tab or a pull tab.
For a push tab:
- Push the tab to open the compartment
- Turn your old filter counterclockwise until you can pull it out
- Reverse the process to install the new one

- Reverse the process to install the new one

Remember to Change the Filter on a Regular Basis
