28C2334P001Having a water filter built right into your refrigerator allows for delicious, clean and refreshing water, every time you place a glass to the dispenser. However, that water is not going to remain clean and pure forever. From time to time you will need to change out the water filter, which collects debris and separates it from the water. Over time, the filter simply is unable to absorb all of the minerals and byproducts in the water, which results in the contaminants making its way right into your cup. Thankfully, a water filter like the 238C2334P001 is able to remove all the negative contaminates from your water, keeping it fresh, crisp and clean for as long as you need it.
The Filtration Process
The 28C2334P001 water filter is a replacement for the GE GSWF water filter. So, now that you know the 238C2334P001 is the correct water filter, what exactly does it do for your water? It actually does a good amount. While in most cases the city water supply is tested and deemed safe to drink (although some cities have failed to do this accurately due to other variables), the filter itself removes any sediment, cysts, lead, chlorine taste and odor plus other contaminants that might be found within the water. This way, you are always drinking clear, clean and fresh water.
How to Install Your Water Filter
While free returns are offered, it is always best to double check and make sure this is the right filter. When you open up your fridge and locate the water filter system, you can easily open up the unit and remove the filter. Additionally, you can visit your refrigerator’s website and download the owner’s manual as well (it is always a good idea to have this on hand).
