I have been using this product for years, replacing the filters about every six moths. This time I bought a new cartridge (housing). This one had a thicker gasket in the back section that screws into the pipe. It restricted the water flow and there was very little water pressure. I took the gasket out and now it is fine. I'm surprised that the manufacturer put would put such a large gasket inside. Otherwise, this is a good unit for the money and a small price to pay for cleaner water.

Great little filter. i've used them all, this ones the best for the money. Im on a county supply so Im mainly filtering chlorine which this unit does with no problems. Lasts about a 8 months to a year. The shallow profile sets it apart from the rest IMO.
