Replace the broken icemaker in your Amana or Maytag refrigerator/freezer with a Supco RIM501. This model replaces Amana 1110702A and Maytag D7824706Q icemakers. The replacement kit includes the electronic icemaker assembly, one electrical wiring cable, mounting hardware and instructions. When installing the replacement icemaker, use the appliance's existing wiring harness and plumbing or install new wiring and plumbing if needed. You will also use the appliance's ice bucket when you replace your freezer's icemaker.

Pay attention to the online comments prior to purchase. Mine said I would need to use my existing power cord. Ten minutes of fussing was wasted not paying attention to this warning.

took awile to recieve product once it arrived did not work and I decided no more after market parts for me. finally after checking everything over discovered a problem in wires. now icemaker works fine and has brought my faith back in after market parts,considing the price difference its almost half the price. Not anything waterfilters done to cause my problem.

Installed in about 10 minutes. No problems. Had been fighting the old one for years and picking out the pieces of Teflon which were always in the ice. Why, oh why did I wait so long to replace it?

Instructions didn't warn me about the connector having a lock so it was very hard disconnecting the old unit. But it installed easily when the original unit was out. Several pieces of the original unit needed to be transferred to the replacement but they went on easily. Unfortunately only three ice cubes are now made out of the eight cube tray. Turning the adjustment screw from end to end changes nothing; still three ice cubes. Flushed the water line with no improvement. The bin is now full, however.

I am an ice fanatic and was quite upset when the ice maker that came with my fridge was leaking. I frantically went on line and had a hard time finding the replacement ice maker. When I landed on this site, I was able to identify the product code, ordered it on Sunday and it was at my door by Thursday in order to install on the weekend.
