Manufactured with an eco-friendly process, the Swift Green SGF-DSB30 provides clean water and ice. The filter uses activated carbon to trap and remove impurities from municipal and well water. It removes chemicals and minerals like chlorine, lead, rust, sediment and other contaminants. The refrigerator then dispenses the water at a flow rate of half a gallon per minute. After the filter processes up to 300 gallons of water, it should be replaced. When changed regularly, the appliance can provide a steady flow of clean and healthy water and ice.

Had to trim mounting tabs as they appeared to be poorly molded before I was able to install. That being said it wasn't all that big a deal and all these filters require considerable force(torque, twist)to install.

I said the install was challenging because the filter on the Samsung is at the back of the frig and up high. To properly get the threads to line up some people may need to use a step stool to be able to reach the filter and properly install. I guess thats more a problem of where Samsung put the filter than a fault of these filters. I've had very good experience with this company and will continue to do business with them.

unfortunately the filter was not interchangeable with the original Samsung filter. I would like to return the filters I purchased and perhaps have them replaced with on that will work

It was supposed to fit my Samsung fridge, but didn't. I was disappointed since it was cheap compared with the Samsung original filter. However the staff at discount filters were great and refunded the product for me and even send me prepaid shipping stamp. I will buy again from them.
