The factory original Amana Clean 'n Clear (WF40 / 12527304) is used in refrigerators by Amana, Kenmore and others.  The WF40 filter creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice.

How To Install The Maytag 12527304 Filter:

How to install the Maytag 12527304 filter
  1. Turn old filter counterclockwise until cartridge stops. Discard old filter
  2. Push new cartridge into filter head
  3. Turn cartridge clockwise until cartridge stops
  4. Discard first 4 batches of ice after replacing cartridge and flush through water dispenser for at least three minutes
  5. The water filter cartridge should be replaced after 300 gallons of water or six months of use, whichever comes first
