This is the second time I have installed this filter. The instructions with the first one were to replace every 6 months whereas this one states once per year. I have decided to compromise and error on the side of safe quality water by replacing every 7 months based upon my usage.

This filter is very easy to install. Should fit on any refrigerator's plastic pipe, which goes to the ice maker. Dont forget to flush it first before you use it. I found it easier to run some water in the sink before that, instead of following the instructions.

When replacing a new filter, flush about 2 gallons of water through the filter before drinking the water. This will eliminate any carbon particles leftover from the manufacturing process.
