In your Trane/American Standard air cleaner, a washable filter cleans the indoor air you breathe. Factory original, this filter provides a lifetime of clean indoor air without the expense of purchasing disposable filters. It includes a MERV 5 rating that captures large dirt, dust and odor particles. The materials resist rust, microbial growth and corrosion. The filter slides easily into place and requires no assembly. Every month, vacuum the filter. Wash it with cold water once every three months. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it.
Foam gasket tape can be used to insure a tight filter fit and eliminate air filter bypass.
