Lennox Model X8788 MERV 16 Replacement Filter - 17X26X4 - Fits Lennox Pure Air PCO-12C air cleaner cabinet
In your Lennox air cleaner cabinet, a replaceable filter purifies the air that circulates in your home. Made from OEM parts, the replacement filter includes electrostatically charged media. This feature, along with a pleated design, enables the filter to capture the maximum amount of particulates. A MERV rating of 16 indicates that the filter captures dust, mold, bacteria, viruses and other contaminants up to 0.3 microns in size. Every six to 12 months, simply remove the saturated filter and replace it with a new one. When you change the filter regularly, you keep the air in your home clean and healthy.

I and very impressed how well this MERV-16 filter cleans my forced hot air system. This filter in combination with Lennox Healthy Climate # X8149 UVA Bulbs and Lennox Healthy Climate # 75X73 Catalyst clean the air and improve it's quality so well that I have not been sick in more than 2 years since installing these units. They clean more than just dust you can see, but all the germs from colds and flu that you don't see.

Upgrading to this highest MERV level is worth the investment for those with sinus issues or other sensitivities. For the first time since I purchased the furnace and air cleaner several years ago, it now lives up to the level of odor elimination and air cleaning that I thought I had purchased in the beginning.
One caution - if the bulbs in your air cleaner are not black on one side, you will need to order those as well. This site has such bulbs available. Because I wasn't aware I needed them, I had to wait to use this filter until after I had placed a separate order for the bulbs.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery was on schedule and arrived in good condition. This was a much easier way to get the filters than working through my furnace dealer.
