Replacement media filter for Honeywell cabinets - 20x25 (actual size 19-7/8" x 24-7/8" x 4-3/8") - MERV 8
Honeywell air cleaners use a replaceable filter to clean indoor air. Rated MERV 8, the filter removes impurities like dust, dirt, pollen and odors. It uses electrostatically charged media to attract the particles then traps the contaminants in deep pleats. The frame resists microbial growth, including mold, mildew and rust in any climate. Sturdy wire downstream and finger supports provide stability. Replace the filter once every six months to provide clean indoor air.

Delivery was as scheduled. The size of the Honeywell product was 20X25X5; this product was 20X25X4 - why the difference? This 1" reduction on thickness could adversely affect the effectiveness of the filter.

This model fits my furnace filter holder well. In general, be sure to verify the actual (ie, measured) size information of a filter against the exact size you need. Apparently, just like lumber, there is a "nominal" size, which may be different than the exact size.

The cardboard/paper frame of the filter is not as sturdy as a genuine Honeywell, but the lower price on these filters outweighs that negative aspect. Went from a MERV 11 filter to these with a MERV 8, this dramatically lowered my static pressure(lower is better) as verified by system self diagnostics. This is mainly due to less restriction of the actual filter material - but still filters great.
