MERV 8 Expanded Cartridge Filter for Aprilaire/Space-Gard 2200 / 2250 - MERV 8 (2-Pack)
To clean indoor air, use an Aprilaire Space-Gard air cleaner. This aftermarket expanded cartridge filter fits in models 2200 and 2500. Its deep pleats capture and trap airborne particles. Rated MERV 8, the electrostatically charged media attracts dirt, dust, pollen, mold and odor particles. Evenly spaced pleats increase the filter's capacity and performance. The media resists microbial growth, mold, mild and rust. Replace the filter once every six months for clean indoor air. Simply insert the filter media into the air cleaner's frame without resizing or assembling it.

Discovering these type filters has saved this aging senior homeowner time and frustrations. No longer do i have to thread the comblike fingers through lots of pleats in a filter fabric that easily tears. In one fell swoop- open the door - take out the old filter and install the new unit. A "piece of cake". 10 minutes tops and no frustration!

If you're still using the accordion type Space Guard 2200 filters STOP, This is a better solution. Good value, fast shipping, I will order from Discount Filters again and again.

Did you know that the nominal size of your air filter is probably not the same as the actual size? Just like measurements on lumber, the actual size of an air filter is usually slightly smaller than the nominal size.
