Aprilaire / Space-Gard #401 Original, OEM High Efficiency Filtering Media - MERV 10 (2-Pack)
In your home or office, an air cleaner provides pure and healthy indoor air year round. It uses a filter with a MERV 10 rating to trap and remove dangerous or unpleasant contaminants like dirt, pollen, dander, mold and odors. As it captures these contaminants, the filter reduces allergens that contribute to respiratory illnesses. The pleated design with high efficiency media includes an enlarged surface area for greater efficiency. Replacing the media regularly increases the quality of the air in your home. To change the filter, follow the instructions on the packaging. Expand the accordion-style media, snap it into the plastic filter frame and use the existing pleat spacers to secure the media into the air cleaner. When you replace the media every six to 24 months, you prolong the life of your air cleaner and increase the indoor air quality in your home.

The furnace maintenance person used to remove the old filter and install a new filter. We are saving money by doing the removal and install ourselves. I think we do a better job of cleaning the filter housing.

this air filter is just what the furnice had in it as we had to order some replacements as the filters that where left in this house we had used. a little work to get them in but not bad at all.

MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, and measures a filters’ efficiency in removing small particles. The higher the MERV rating, the more particles the filter can remove.
