Replacement Filter for Aprilaire/Space-Gard 2400 Air Cleaner

From American Air Filter (AAF) these expandable "accordian" style, replacement filters are made to fit the Aprilaire/Space-Gard Model 2400 Air Cleaner.

Features:

  • Rated MERV 10
  • Budget alternative to factory original Filter
  • Replaces popular part number 401 filter from Aprilaire / Space-Gard
  • Replaces Honeywell # CF2400A1001, FC2400A1005
  • Fits Generalaire media air cleaner model AC24 and replaces part # 13156
  • Replaces Lennox part number X0444, and fits PMAC-12C Air Cleaner

The filters ship like a collapsed accordian and are expanded into a plastic frame within the air cleaner cabinet. The filter is snapped into the plastic frame and held in place with existing pleat spacers.  Assembly instructions are printed on the product carton.

The air cleaner media in the Model 2400 can last from 6 months up to 2 years. If installed on a 5-ton system, in the presence of high concentration of particulate, or if the furnace fan is on continuously, it may be necessary to change the media more frequently. In any application, the life of the media is dependant upon the total volume of air being moved through it as well as the amount of particulate it is filtering.

Note: This product is not manufactured or distributed by Research Products Corporation, owner of the registered trademark Aprilaire®.

How to change your furnace/air-conditioner/HVAC air filter

Estimated time: 10 minutes or less

Steps

  1. Determine the location of your filter

Your forced air system will be similar, whether or not it is a heating (furnace) or cooling (AC) system – or both. The furnace filter housing/slot is located right next to the heating/cooling system’s air handler or blower. Your filter(s) may also be located in a return grille on the wall or ceiling of your home.

  2. Determine the type/size of filter that you use

Typically, the dimensions or part number of the filter will be printed on the filter frame. Use this information to order a new filter.

  3. Purchase a new air filter from DiscountFilters.com

Visit DiscountFilters.com and purchase a new filter. Use our filter finders to verify the correct match.

  4. Remove the old filter

Turn off the power to the heating/cooling system and remove the old filter from its housing/slot and discard.

  5. Insert the new filter

Pay attention to any airflow direction arrows printed on the frame of the new filter. Install the filter by sliding it into the filter housing/slot with the airflow arrow pointing towards the blower. If installing the filter in a wall or ceiling grille – the airflow arrow should point towards the wall or ceiling. Turn on the power to the forced air system.

    Enjoy cleaner air!
